Receive Jesus Christ as Your Lord & Savior

STEP 1

God loves you and has a plan for you!
The Bible says, “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, [Jesus Christ], that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
Jesus said, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” — a complete life full of purpose (John 10:10).

STEP 2

Here's the problem: man is sinful and separated from God.
We have all done, thought or said bad things, which the Bible calls “sin.” The Bible says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
The result of sin is death, spiritual separation from God (Romans 6:23).
The good news?

STEP 3

God sent His Son to die for your sins!
Jesus died in our place so we could have a relationship with God and be with Him forever.
“God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
But it didn’t end with His death on the cross. He rose again and still lives!
“Christ died for our sins. … He was buried. … He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
Jesus is the only way to God. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me” (John 14:6).

STEP 4

Would you like to receive God’s forgiveness?
We can’t earn salvation; we are saved by God’s grace when we have faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. All you have to do is believe you are a sinner, that Christ died for your sins, and ask His forgiveness. Then turn from your sins—that’s called repentance. Jesus Christ knows you and loves you. What matters to Him is the attitude of your heart, your honesty. We suggest praying the prayer below to accept Christ as your Savior.

PRAY NOW

"Dear God, I know I have sinned, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen."

Did you pray this prayer?

Choosing to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is the most important decision you’ll ever make in your life!

The very moment you commit your life to Christ, the truth of His Word instantly comes to pass in your spirit. Now that you’re born again (John 3:3), there’s a brand-new you!  Be sure and feed your spirit the Word of God everyday so that you grow in Him!  The Bible commands us to be baptized in water after we have believed (Mark 16:15,16).  Find a Pastor or other Christians and they can help you with this.  Also it's important that you find a Bible-Believing Church that is full of the Holy Spirit and get planted there.  They will provide you with Love & Fellowship and Prayer & Teaching that will help you in your Journey in Christ!

Receive the Holy Spirit

As His child, your loving heavenly Father wants to give you the supernatural power you need to live this new life.

Acts 1:8 Jesus said you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Luke 11:10,13 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened...If you...know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much mor shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

All you have to do is ask, believe, and receive!

Pray Now, Father, I recognize my need for Your power to live this new life. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit. By faith, I receive Him right now! Thank You for baptizing me in your Holy Spirit in Jesus name!

Praise God! Now you’re filled with God’s supernatural power. Some syllables from a language you don’t recognize will rise up from your heart to your mouth. (See Acts 2:1-4, Acts 10: 44-48, Acts 19:2-6, 1 Cor. 14:14.) As you speak them out loud by faith, you’re releasing God’s power from within and building yourself up in the Spirit. (See v. 4.) You can do this whenever and wherever you like.

It doesn’t really matter whether you felt anything or not when you prayed to receive the Lord and His Spirit. If you believed in your heart that you received, then God’s Word promises you did. “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” (Mark 11:24). God always honors His Word; believe it!
